Description

Markon’s partner company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our program supporting a key IC government customer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and manage MECM for enterprise-wide server, workstation, and software upgrades.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10 and future OS versions in a structured IT environment.
  • Manage and administer Active Directory (AD) environments, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and software deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
  • Maintain and optimize network services, including DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and resolve system-wide infrastructure challenges.
  • Apply Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) principles to maintain secure and compliant systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and streamline system deployments.
  • Utilize modern programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java for automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, including security configurations and infrastructure optimization.
  • Apply best practices for hybrid cloud integration and Azure AD administration.
  • Work within Agile development teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Contribute to an iterative software development process, ensuring alignment with DevOps principles.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, security policies, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, IT teams, and business users to ensure seamless technology implementations.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 11+ year’s relevant experience.
  • Strong Engineering experience with the following core Microsoft Windows platform/services:
    • MECM
  • Experience with Server, Workstation, and Software upgrades using MECM
  • Experience with Windows 10
  • Strong understanding and experience with DNS, DFS, DHCP, and similar network protocols
  • Active Directory (including software deployment) and administration experience, especially related to Group Policy (GPOs)
  • Strong verbal communication and documentation skill

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects
  • Knowledge of Agile development principles
  • Microsoft AZURE certifications resulting in the ability to cloud design, implementation, and configuration
  • Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.) or the ability to automate through PowerShell script

Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.Th
