Cloud Network Architect/Engineer- Senior

Responsibilities

Peraton will provide CBP with a range of technical, financial, and program management support in order to achieve a mature set of enterprise cloud services, which demonstrate a parity of service quality and capabilities among industry-leading tech firms. To achieve this, Peraton will provide professional services to integrate and enable the consumption of a combination of software applications/databases, compute, storage, and data protection elements from various sources, including Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Anything-as-a-Service (XaaS), etc.

 

The Cloud Network Architect/Engineer- Senior will be resposible for:

• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VPCs, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks using cloud services and software defined networks.
• Perform network emulation/virtualization, analysis, and planning. May also design network and computer security measures.
• May install and upgrade systems software and maintain software configuration management.
• May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Designs network architecture for integration into existing network architecture and network interfaces using cloud network services.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.  Four years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. 
• U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance (i.e. CBP Full BI)
• Experience in conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs and are responsible for maintaining system efficiency.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions quickly.
• Experience across multiple cloud providers and environments (i.e AWS, Commerical/Gov Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more Cloud Certification(s) preferred (i.e. Microsoft, Google, AWS, etc)
• Current CBP Full BI preferred

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
