Description
Healthy Pet, a leading sustainable manufacturer of small animal products and natural cat litter experiencing significant growth, is currently looking for a Quality Control Tech I to join our team!
The QC Tech I performs a variety of product testing procedures to assist in the evaluation of existing products along with products in various stages and communicates results, observations and non-conformances in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Samples raw materials and finished goods from receiving, storage and production lines
- Tests raw, finished, and intermediate materials using standardized test procedures and established control limits.
- Uses a wide variety of analytical tools and internal testing methods to evaluate environmental compliance, raw material and finished product quality.
- Verifies test results are within quality standards and communicates discrepancies in a timely manner as they are detected.
- Responsible for maintaining laboratory and equipment and general premises in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Participates in continuous improvement, reviewing SOPs and forms, auditing facility and is prepared for a changing and dynamic environment as position training increases
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
- Previous Quality Control experience in food, restaurant or manufacturing environment.
- Two years working experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must remain flexible to schedule changes if needed.
- Familiar with software for word processing and spreadsheet databases, and email.
- Successful candidate will have verbal communication and time management skills.
- Successful candidate will strive for accuracy, consistency, and verbal communication.
