We are seeking talented Associates to join our Underwriting Rotational Development Program.  This 24-month rotational program will provide technical training and professional development for individuals seeking an exciting underwriting opportunity!

Your Impact & Opportunity

As a Program participant, you will need to think both creatively and analytically, problem solve, and make decisions equipped with technical knowledge you will garner in the program. You will receive excellent on-the-job training from our distinguished and highly experienced underwriters, as well as our functional leaders across both insurance and reinsurance businesses. An added benefit is the opportunity to launch your career with a two-year educational and developmental program alongside a cohort of your peers!

Throughout the two years, you can expect four (4) rotations, exposure to our insurance and reinsurance businesses, instructor-led workshops, monthly spotlight speaker series with executive leadership, networking events, self-paced course work, and the like.

  • You will be analyzing risks and preparing underwriting workups for new and renewal submissions, preparing quotes, binders, policies, and other documents to help streamline the underwiring process
  • With the support of supervisors, you will be communicating with local brokers about the risks, opportunities, and Everest’s capabilities
  • Providing renewal and new business writeups for underwriters to review
  • Attending underwriting meetings and events on behalf of partnering teams
  • Participating in marketing efforts with the team, establishing relationships with early career brokers
  • Ad Hoc project work in a variety of vertical initiatives
  • Domestic travel is required; International travel may be required

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation is based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications

  • You are a graduating senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • You are a highly ambitious team player with excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • You have leadership experience or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
