About the Role:
The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing our data systems and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to glean insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position encompasses a comprehensive analysis lifecycle, covering requirement gathering, activity execution, and design planning. The Data Analyst works directly with the Systems Intelligence team to develop ETLs to Extract, Transform, and Load data to be used in data visualizations and provide insights on current reporting methods. The incumbent will be responsible for taking the specifications created by architects/engineers and implementing them in code, utilizing known best practices. Please note, this is an hourly paid contract to hire role through Trace3.
What You’ll Do:
- Convert raw data into meaningful analysis using interactive, easy-to-understand Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Establish and maintain data dictionary documentation and reporting standards.
- Developing Power BI solutions by working with effective teams from multiple disciplines, leveraging technology standards and software development best practices.
- Establish cadence for intake, design, and creation of reporting requests. Collaborate with infrastructure team when resource adjustments are needed.
- Develop and conduct validation tests, as needed.
- Utilize change management protocol when making any changes to production reporting to prevent disruption, loss of flow of information or other undesired outcome for the organization.
- Operational requests prioritized and managed using Azure DevOps.
- Reporting will be subject to review and correction by the Analytics team and as well as acceptance by the users of the system(s).
- Keeps supervisor informed of emerging technologies and other resources needed to enhance productivity. Presents justification for all recommendations.
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate appropriate reporting based on system constraints.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Interests:
- Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge from an accredited university is required.
- Minimum three years of experience developing ETL pipelines using modern technologies such as Python, C#, or Azure Data Factory.
- Five years of experience working with the Micros
