We're looking for passionate engineers who are eager to push boundaries, embrace innovation, and make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, inclusive environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Technical Leadership:</strong></p><ul> <li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of core systems and services, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable</li> <li>Act as a mentor and technical advisor to team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.</li> </ul><p><strong>System Architecture:</strong></p><ul> <li>Drive architectural decisions, aligning with the company's growth goals and technical roadmap.</li> <li>Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.</li> <li>Design and implement systems to handle increasing traffic and data volumes as Typology expands globally.</li> <li>Optimise infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance</li> </ul><p><strong>Innovation &amp; Problem Solving:</strong></p><ul> <li>Identify and address technical challenges that impact the business, proposing innovative and efficient solutions.</li> <li>Play a hands-on role in implementing complex features or resolving critical issues</li> </ul><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:<br/></strong><ul> <li>Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.</li> <li>Work closely with stakeholders across teams, including Merchandising, Acquisition, and Customer Care, to identify technical opportunities and challenges.</li> </ul><strong>Code Quality &amp; Best Practices:</strong><p></p><ul> <li>Champion best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.</li> </ul><p><strong><strong>Skills</strong>:</strong></p><ul> <li>Strong expertise on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).</li> <li>Expertise in backend technologies (Node.js, Python).</li> <li>Good knowledge of frontend technologies (especially Vue and React Native)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of system design, serverless architecture, and API development.</li> <li>Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL).</li> <li>Experience on modern data stack (ELT (Airbyte), DBT) and data pipelines.</li> <li>Experience with AI (LLM models and traditional ML frameworks).</li> <li>Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and containerisation (Docker).</li> <li>Proficient in security best practices for web and mobile applications.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul><p><strong><strong>Profile</strong>:</strong></p><ul> <li>6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering highly scalable systems.</li> <li>Prior experience as a technical lead or architect in fast-paced environments is recommended.</li> <li>Hands-on mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution.</li> <li>Passionate about building efficient solutions and delivering impactful results.</li> <li>Fluent in English is a must; French is a plus.</li> </ul><p><strong><strong><strong>Stack</strong>:</strong></strong></p><ul> <li>Backend: on AWS using Appsync, API gateway, Lambda, Cognito user pools, Cloudfront Dynamo DB, MongoDB, RDS Aurora</li> <li>Frontend: website on VueJS/Nuxt.</li> <li>Mobile App: React Native.</li> <li>Data: Airbyte + DBT.
