Description
St. Croix Health is seeking a skilled, passionate Clinical Education Specialist to join our team on a casual, as-needed basis to enhance our educational initiatives and promote best practices in patient care.
The Clinical Education Specialist will develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and initiatives that enhance learning outcomes for St. Croix Health staff leading to best practice, evidenced based care for patients. This position requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of educational and clinical best practices, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaged learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop educational programs and curricula tailored to diverse learning needs and standards in partnership with St. Croix Health stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to staff utilizing effective teaching strategies, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through data analysis, assessments, and feedback from stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to create educational initiatives and enhance student learning.
- Stay current with educational research, trends, and best practices to inform program development and implementation.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and program outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements
Education & Licensure:
- ADN required; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license (active in Wisconsin or Minnesota)
Certifications:
- Must maintain certification as an instructor in classes that are developed and maintained by nationally recognized organization (e.g., AHA, ENA, etc.).
- Current BLS required
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in education, curriculum development, or instructional designinimum of five (5) years of healthcare clinical experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in educational technology and learning management systems.
- Expert in curriculum design
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Innovative thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Culturally competent and sensitive to the diverse needs of staff and patients.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
