Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Operations, with additional work direction by the Database and Research Analytics Analyst, the Gift and Constituent Records Specialist performs varied administrative, technical, and analytical duties in support of the day-to-day operations of University Development programs within Advancement. The incumbent serves as a liaison and resource for faculty, staff, departments, and community pertaining to gift processing and data support and maintenance. The incumbent is responsible for completing work assignments, projects, and meeting established deadlines. Assignments require handling of multiple work priorities and accountability for own work results. Contacts involve interaction with all levels inside and outside the university, and may include dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Key Qualifications
This position requires an equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. This position requires the ability to provide a high-level of customer service to various internal and external audiences. Proficiency using computers, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database software preferred. Knowledge of Google Suite and PeopleSoft preferred. Must possess an excellent foundation of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Experience or working knowledge with Raiser's Edge NXT, Peoplesoft CFS, or similar related databases preferred.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period. Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment will not exceed Step 3, $4,933 a month. The CSU Classification Step Range for this position is $4,799 - $6,992 per month (step 1 - step 20).
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
