About the role

 

The Consulting Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of multiple client-facing consulting project(s) within the Energy & Water and Construction and Engineering industries.  This includes managing financials, scope alignment, scope creep, schedule adherence, resources and margin. 

Day to day Responsibilities:

  • Plan and leads project execution, ensuring the successful implementation of the contracted services
  • Scopes, plans, and coordinates all aspects of the project and project resources utilizing standard and recommended Project Management processes and practices. 
  • Plans and organizes work into discrete tasks that can be implemented, tested, and refined within the constraints of project requirements. 
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment of staffing, forecast and overall financial budget and margin for projects. 
  • Communicates to and manages expectations of program stakeholders. 
  • Implements projects, ensuring achievement of business objectives, profitability, and quality. 
  • Builds relationships of trust with clients, teams, and stakeholders. 
  • Provide consistent creative and high quality solution leadership ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 6-10+ years of client facing project management or implementation consulting experience leading software implementation efforts
  • Experience within the Energy & Water or Construction and Engineering software industry strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. 
  • Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. 
  • Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 75%.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for effective project delivery on medium to large engagements. Provides direction and mentoring to project team. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of medium sized projects including the recovery of remedial projects.

US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
