What You’ll Do
KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking science, engineering and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2024 Intern class.
There is a nationwide shortage of engineers with experience in creating electronic components in a secure manner – called Trusted Micro-Electronics by the DoD and academia community. This project supports AFRL Trusted Microelectronics Second Order Effect systems.
As a National Security Solutions Intern, you will:
- Design code that can ingest data of several types and format the data for analytical processing. Once processed, various descriptive statistical analysis and tests should be applied.
- Produce data visualization tools to convey the results
- Create data ingestion pipeline - resilient to size/shape
- Parse/clean and format data for analysis
- Provide graphics for descriptive data
- Build model ensemble that concatenates each models results and produces each method result
Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Anticipated Skill Set:
- Python programming, statistics, linear algebra and multivariate calculus
- Major field of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week.
Requirement:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
