The timeframe for this summer internship is: May 12, 2025 - August 8, 2025What you get to do:
- Attend seminars held by various departments within the park, including Culinary Operations, Design & Engineering, Entertainment, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandise, and Park Operations as well as visiting Professors.
- Park tours with members of your leadership team
- Planned meeting sessions with members of the park’s leadership team
- Complete a Team project where groups of Interns will work on a real-world business case and present their findings and recommendations directly to Senior Leadership.
- Interns will have the experience of front-line involvement, overseeing a team of employees and providing guidance and direction to their team as they interact with thousands of guests daily
Daily Responsibilitie:
You’ll lead an incredible team in delivering an exemplary level of guest service, including engaging with guests and maintaining a clean and safe environment through the park. As a team leader, you will model a positive attitude, a high level of energy and an unyielding commitment to quality. You will:
- Enthusiastically represents the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
- Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
- Responsible for the development of OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching
- Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
- Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve
- Maintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as needed
- Schedule compactor pulls
- Monitor daily labor to align with labor budget and daily attendance
- Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards
- Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations
- Respond to ambassador and guest needs
- Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park
- Track information to complete daily and weekly reports

What it takes to succeed:
- Must be currently pursuing a college degree
- Commit to working through the 2025 peak operating season (mid May– mid August)
- Flexible availability (schedules include nights, weekend and holidays). Must be able to work on Tuesday's.
- Excellent human relations and communication skills
- Previous leadership or theme park experience is a plus
- Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license
- Able to lift or move 75lbs
- Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions
- Able to climb stairs/ladders
- Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces
- Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning
- Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
- Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Able to train on and properly use protective gear
- Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
- Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
