Position Title: Workers' Compensation Claim SpecialistLocation: Hybrid – Maitland, FL (Hybrid after initial training - 2 days in office one week - 3 days in office the following week)Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ETSalary Range: $67,500 - $83,000

 

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate of the base pay range for this role, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include bonuses, benefits, or other forms of pay. We’re looking for an experienced Workers' Compensation Claim Specialist to join our team in Maitland, FL. This position offers a hybrid work schedule after initial training and the opportunity to manage claims for a single dedicated client.

About the Role

As a Workers’ Compensation Claim Specialist, you will manage Florida workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution for a single dedicated client. This role involves live-time exposure, handling some litigated claims, and experience with Florida Heart and Lung claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

🔹 Investigate, evaluate, and adjust Florida workers’ compensation claims in compliance with state laws🔹 Manage some litigated claims and collaborate with legal professionals🔹 Oversee medical, legal, and financial aspects to ensure proper claim resolution🔹 Establish and maintain accurate reserves🔹 Negotiate settlements following client-specific guidelines and state regulations🔹 Coordinate subrogation claims and excess carrier notifications

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed

FL Adjuster’s License (Required)✔ Experience handling Florida workers’ compensation claimsKnowledge of Florida Heart and Lung claims (Preferred)✔ Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills✔ Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
