ABOUT THE ROLE

E15 Data Operations and Analytics Internship Program

May 2024 – August 2024

You love data as much as sampling a new recipe or visiting your favorite restaurant. You’re a creative problem solver, a collaborator, and an innovator. To you, there’s nothing better than uncovering the “Why?” or solving a tough problem.

 

Position Description:

As an intern in this 11-week program, you’ll have the opportunity to support the Data Operations team as they support large-scale projects for some of the nation’s most well-known brands in the hospitality industry. You will be matched to a project that may involve managing semi-structured data, data transformation, relational databases, building predictive models, creating new insights, and performing a wide range of other data-driven activities that help grow the business The position is hybrid and requires three to four days working from E15’s Home Office located in downtown Chicago and one to two days working remotely. You may be eligible for a housing subsidy to assist in temporary relocation.

 

Responsibilities:

• Profile data to better understand the next steps for transformations
• Extract and load multiple rows of data
• Move data from a source system to a target system
• Examine current performance and forecast future outcomes using predictive data modeling
• Build polished and insightful reports or dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders

• Demonstrated experience analyzing complex data
• Excellent communication and data presentation skills
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
• Desire to problem-solve with data
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• A good command of statistics
• A collaborative work style
• A curious mindset
• Familiarity with relational databases (E.g. SQL)

 

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with Python, C++, or Java
• Experience with some of the following techniques: regression models, classification models, optimization models, database querying, visual discovery, or complex financial modeling
