Job Description
Brightspeed is looking for a Security Technician I to join our team! The Brightspeed Security team provides quality security and life safety services, including installation, service and monitoring of intrusion and fire alarm systems, as well as, CCTV, card access, nurse call, intercom systems and SMART HOME systems.
As A Security Technician I, Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Installation and repair of multiple type of Security Systems
- Educating customers on proper operations of systems
- Maintain and upgrade in house systems including Central Station equipment
- Installation and repair of Life Safety Systems
- Installation and repair of Card Access systems.
- Installation and repair of Central Vacuum systems.
- Installation and repair of CCTV systems
- Installation and repair of Smart Home Systems
- Installation and repair of Intercom/Music Systems.
- Maintain vehicle and company supplies and inventory
- Recommend and perform any needed upgrades to customers’ systems.
- Complete paperwork and invoicing of customer via Tech application
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What It Takes To Catch Our Eye:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be qualified to be licensed in all states where Brightspeed conducts business
- Qualification starts by passing a background check (criminal, misdemeanor and drug screen)
- Successful completion of on-the-job training, online courses and testing
- Excellent and effective communications (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage situations without constant supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to be on work weekends, extended hours, and holidays as required to meet the needs of the business
- Experience or training in the operations of all office equipment.
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Basic computer skills
Bonus Points For:
- Previous experience in installation and service of Security, Smart Homes, Life Safety, Card Access or CCTV systems
- NFPA Level 1, 2A and 2B
- NICET certification
