The position will be leading Intellectual Property/Capital Evaluations in support of all Mission Systems proposal. This role will involve a large amount of collaboration across multiple functional areas including Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Program Management, and Engineering. Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally is critical to succeed in this role. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication, organization, initiative, guidance, and problem-solving skills.

This role will be performed ONSITE at our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA. or other eligible Collins Aerospace location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for all intellectual Property/Capital analysis as it relates to the Mission Systems Business.
  • Provide Training/Support to other mission systems pricing team for intellectual Property/Capital analysis
  • Partner with the Pricing director and leadership team to ensure sound business decisions are made in program execution and new business & strategy.
  • As workloads change among the business there will also be the requirement to help support proposals by being able to be independently responsible for the development, analysis and completion of varying proposal types including the most significant proposals in terms of complexity and company importance.
  • Lead/contribute to the development of pricing strategies (this includes understanding customer care-about(s), potential future work, affordability initiatives, program financial objectives, risks, and opportunities)
  • Prepare and present Gate 3 charts for program / company leadership review of proposal information
  • Ensure full FAR compliance on all proposals.  The position is capable of providing compliance guidance on complex situations.


 

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with a Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • FARS and DFARS experience
  • Proposal/Negotiation experience
  • Experience with intellectual capitalization evaluations
