Position OverviewCitadel Security USA is seeking highly professional Armed Security Officers to safeguard critical infrastructure, personnel, vendors, and the general public across designated sites. This role requires vigilant enforcement of site security protocols, consistent collaboration with team members, and accurate documentation of all incidents and activities. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in security, military, or law enforcement (preferred but not required), paired with a commitment to excellence and integrity. 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and randomized armed patrols to detect, deter, and respond to potential threats.
• Maintain the safety and security of premises, including interaction with staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Document detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and safety concerns.
• Recover and secure lost property; make attempts to return items to rightful owners.
• Respond to emergencies and execute appropriate procedures (e.g., fire, medical, evacuation, shelter-in-place).
• Monitor and receive after-hours deliveries, ensuring items are safely delivered to designated recipients.
• Provide support with client-specific tasks, projects, and special assignments as directed.
• Serve as a visible deterrent and act with authority while maintaining a customer-service-oriented approach.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a valid Private Security License (state-specific requirements apply).
• Must provide credible references and I-9 employment eligibility documentation.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must own a dark-colored suit (professional appearance required).
• Must own a smartphone (used for scheduling, timekeeping, and communication).
• Must have reliable transportation and be located in reasonable proximity to assigned site(s).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (report writing, scheduling systems).
• Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, Firefighting, and Crowd Control certifications or experience.
• Experience responding to emergency situations and working under pressure.
• Prior experience in high-risk or high-visibility security environments.

Additional Information

• Overnight shifts may be required.
• Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• This is an armed position – candidates must demonstrate firearm proficiency and maintain compliance with all applicable licensing requirements.
