BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret construction plans and maps (i.e., site plans, boundary plans, highway plans, profile and cross sections, horizontal and vertical curves, pipeline plans, foundation plans, and map contours)</li> <li>Directs and coordinates field work for a variety of standard types of surveys</li> <li>May perform and/or check lot, area, and intersection (bearing-bearing, distance-distance, bearing-distance) computations</li> <li>Train Rod Technicians and Instrument Technicians in the use and application of a Total Station, Robotic Total Station, Data Collectors and RTK GPS</li> <li>Accurately calculates and records field data</li> <li>Keep, reduce, and check (for completeness and accuracy) neat and orderly field notes for standard surveying operations (i.e., leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and cross-section surveys)</li> <li>Enforce Company safety procedures and policies for survey field operations</li> <li>Implement procedures for checking and verifying calibration of equipment being used</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED; Specialized &nbsp;vocational training is a plus.</li> <li>8+<strong> </strong>years of experience in Survey with 4 years exp. as Party Chief preferred.</li> <li>Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of construction plans and maps.</li> <li>Must have valid driver’s license</li> <li>Must have a willingness and ability to lift 50 lbs, work outside for 8 to 10 hours per day, and walk 2 miles.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively with team members, co-workers, supervisors, and others.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class
