The VITA program offers free tax preparation to those that meet the IRS annual income threshold. The role of VITA Assistant Coordinator is to assist the Manager of Financial Stability with volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, scheduling and site monitoring. Fluent in Spanish is a requirement for this position.
Advertised Salary: $20/hr Minimum Requirements:Requires 1 semester committment, 10-15 hrs/week. Must have reliable transportation to site, friendly & professional attitude, self-starter, able to solve problems in fast-paced setting, able to provide excellent customer service.
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study program for 2024-2025 school year.
Preferred Qualifications:EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• AA degree (at least 60 credit hours) with 3 years’ experience in business, finance or accounting.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 3 years Customer Service
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in Spanish

WORKING CONDITIONS
Medium work. Visual acuity, manual dexterity required to operate computer and proofread documents. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move.
