The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

Role Purpose

Key partner to the COC HR leadership team, driving effectiveness and efficiency across multiple processes, ensuring successful deployment of CoE initiatives, and maintaining an cohesive operating rhythm for the leadership team and the broader function.  This role is ideal for someone who is strategic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into an HR leadership role over time. This role provides experience in project management, influential leadership, matrixed communication, and strategy deployment while supporting senior HR leaders and business partners to execute their vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of HR CoE initiatives, ensuring effective communication, timely implementation, and alignment with key Corporate HR and CoE leaders.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of HR tools, processes, and technologies across COC.
  • Support the planning and execution of strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Establish mechanisms to measure and track COC effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to implement creative solutions to enhance delivery, streamline processes, and improve communication and efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between the DVP HR, Optical Communications and diverse members of the CoEs, below the Corporate HRLT level.
  • Coordinate DE&I initiatives and programs across COC, acting as the main point of contact for the ERG leaders and as a liaison with the Corporate DE&I office.
  • Lead communications efforts for the HR DVP and the HR Leadership Team, e.g., global communications meetings, communicate strategic objectives, etc.
  • Act as an HR Business Partner for relatively small, yet highly visible and impactful client groups, understanding their priorities and providing HR strategies and solutions that support organizational goals.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in HR, as HRBP or CoE
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and practices
  • Proven ability to lead and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Critical thinking and curiosity.

 

 

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.  


The range for this position is   $124,078.00 - $170,608.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
