About the role
<h3><strong>Joining Collibra’s Test Engineering team</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>You will take part in testing activities in the Scrum Team and assist in the successful execution of testing strategies.</li>
<li>You will develop and promote the testing knowledge within an Agile team and provide the needed help and assistance in enabling developers to test.</li>
<li>You will share your experience on a variety of testing tools relevant to our business environment and drive experimentation towards further improvements.</li>
<li>You will define and maintain metrics and promote testing awareness within Engineering.</li>
<li>You will promote a shift-left approach in testing across Engineering.</li>
<li>You will drive Test Data definition and develop scalable frameworks and tools to solve problems.</li>
<li>This is a full time employment position. As of this time, we are not considering freelance or B2B arrangements for this role.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>SDET, Test Engineering at Collibra are responsible for</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Reviewing requirement specifications and user stories to provide timely and meaningful feedback.</li>
<li>Designing, development and execution of automation scripts and Test Automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, etc).</li>
<li>Working on the continuous integration of your scripts (Jenkins) and driving the team on the way towards continuous testing.</li>
<li>Identifying, documenting and tracking issues.</li>
<li>Working closely with Software/Test Engineers and Product Managers across the organization to understand the context and drive automation and testing to meet objectives.</li>
<li>Taking part in exploratory testing and test design sessions - to help in improving the overall product quality.</li>
<li>Acquiring a deep understanding of the domain and approach testing holistically, ensuring comprehensive coverage.</li>
<li>Have a critical mindset to discern what to automate and what not to, strategically sampling critical tests with a focus on balancing risk, cost, and value.</li>
<li>Coach developers and other SDETs.</li>
<li>K8s and Helm charts.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>You have</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 8 years of experience in Test Automation.</li>
<li>Knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools (JIRA or similar) and processes.</li>
<li>Experience in Java and/or TypeScript and hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, etc.).</li>
<li>Experience with DevOps, Gradle, Jenkins and Docker.</li>
<li>Good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with fellow co-workers.</li>
<li>Ability to identify flaws in the testing process, toolset, infrastructure and to propose and drive necessary improvements.</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.</li>
<li>You must have work authorization to work in Poland.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>You are</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Experienced in building Test Automation Frameworks and in continuous delivery/continuous testing environment.</li>
<li>Experienced in building/maintaining CICD pipelines.</li>
<li>Experienced in working in an Agile/Scrum development process.</li>
<li>Able to identify testing and quality challenges.</li>
<li>Able to create innovative solutions to solve complex problems.</li>
<li>A person with great communication skills and who enjoys collaborating with fellow co-worker.</li>
<li>Able to combine automation skills with manual part of testing (Exploratory).</li>
<li>Able to think independently with curiosity, criticism and keen attention to details.</li>
<li>Well organized and accustomed to an innovative environment.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Measures of success are</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Within your first month, you will complete your onboarding and all the mandatory learnings, whilst becoming familiar with the product, tech stack and test frameworks.</li>
<li>Within your third month, you will be actively contributing to the test processes and improvements to test coverage.</li>
<li>Within your sixth month, you will own test projects and be driving the team on quality improvements.</li>
