As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing assistance to those entering the facility. You will use your strong communication and customer service skills to address inquiries and help to deter security-related incidents. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using computers or tablets and who enjoy interacting with people in a dynamic campus setting. Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk.
• Assist with visitor management, including issuing visitor passes and providing directions or information as needed.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities when required.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior through professional presence and adherence to site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
