The Medical Staff Assistant conducts administrative and clerical duties for the Medical Staff Services Department and all aspects of the medical staff organization.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Clerical Assembles and distributes meeting agendas and supporting documents; takes meeting minutes and transcribes notes, follows through on details, secures required signatures, and maintains minutes in the office.
• Clerical Files documents in accordance with established filing systems in a timely manner.
• Events Follows-up with details of scheduled events and keeps appropriate personnel apprised of status and progress of such events.
• Meetings Makes arrangements and schedules meetings on behalf of medical staff; sends notices, agendas.
• Monetary Orders and Requisitions Prepares check requisitions, purchase orders, food service requests, supply requests, subscriptions; obtains authorized signatures and forward to proper designations, as required.
• Physician Database Provides reports to internal customers from the medical staff database.
• Office Maintenance Responds to outside requests for verifications of Medical Staff status.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED
