Who You Are:

This role will provide strategic HR support to a team constructing a new data center, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management initiatives, ensuring the project is staffed with the right people and that they are effectively supported throughout the build-out process while adhering to compliance regulations and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate is energized by quickly growing a team, has an entrepreneurial attitude, a strong network to lean on, and is a collaborative partner.  We want someone who can both build a talent strategy and execute it in close partnership with our business leaders.

What You’ll Do:

Talent Acquisition and Staffing:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to identify and attract skilled technical talent for various data center construction roles (electricians, engineers, technicians, etc.).
  • Partner with hiring managers to assess candidate qualifications and ensure alignment with project needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships with staffing agencies to source temporary or contract workers as needed.

Workforce Planning and Deployment:

  • Analyze project timelines and staffing requirements to create a detailed workforce plan, including peak hiring periods and potential resource gaps.
  • Manage employee onboarding and training programs to ensure new hires are quickly integrated and equipped with necessary skills and safety protocols.

Change Management and Communication:

  • Develop and execute communication plans to keep employees informed about project updates, safety procedures, and any organizational changes.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions and manage employee resistance during the build-out process.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws, including safety regulations, regarding data center construction.
  • Monitor and address potential workplace hazards, promoting a culture of safety.

Performance Management and Development:

  • Establish clear performance expectations for project team members and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Identify opportunities for skills development and career progression within the project team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 7 years' of proven experience as an HR partner in data center operations, real estate, or construction
  • Deep understanding of recruitment strategies, workforce planning, and talent management practices, including in areas outside of major metro areas.
