About the role

Description

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Fordham University invites applications for the position of full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in sociology. We seek a scholar whose research focuses on political sociology and who has demonstrated the ability to teach courses in this area. 

The position will be located primarily at Fordham College’s Lincoln Center campus (in Manhattan) with the possibility of future service and teaching at the Rose Hill campus (in the Bronx) or in interdisciplinary programs.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level and an active program of research and publication are required.

Preferences will be given to candidates with strengths in political economy and a focus on the United States in a global context. The ability to teach quantitative methods at the undergraduate level may also be considered.
