As a Senior Logistics Coordinator, you create chemistry by...
- Managing site inventory, interacting daily with production, schedulers, logistics partners & others
- Assisting /troubleshooting SAP transactions; tracking & processing invoices
- Managing daily truck & rail scheduling, communication & changes, implementing an efficient flow of bulk materials
- Supporting outbound dispatching & bulk shipments coordination; tracking & providing feedback with intra-plant movements and SAP accuracy
- Creating and modifying logistics SOP's; promoting and executing continuous improvement, ensuring activities are performed safely
- Executing packaging procurement activities, packaging ordering & supplier issue tracking
- Evaluating & proposing capital projects, supporting long term strategic plans for the logistics infrastructure
- Leading Root Cause Analysis teams for Logistics and Packaging issues; initiating & executing MOCS as needed
- Optimizing logistics operations, reducing waste and improving efficiency; guiding the prioritization of site logistics and packaging projects
- Training and serving as the SME for Lean manufacturing tools; leading processes for identification of Lean opportunities ( SMED, 5S, Kaizen, MIFA, etc.)
If you have...
- An Associates Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or equivalent experience.
- Preferably a minimum of 2 years plant, supply chain, or logistics experience and with multi-level business relationships; knowledge of multi-modal carrier and Hazardous Material Transportation preferred.
- Excellent project management, organizational and analytical skills (spreadsheet and database )
- Experience in SAP, Microsoft Office software, SAP transport applications a plus.
