Job Title: Senior Site Safety & Health Officer

Business Service Line: PACRIM

Reports To: Health & Safety Manager/Senior Program Manager/General Manager

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii. Various Islands.

Summary: As the Senior Site Safety and Health Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all safety and health aspects of our construction projects. Leveraging your extensive experience and expertise in safety practices, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our safety programs. Your leadership will establish and maintain safety as a top priority throughout our organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Safety Program Development:
   • Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
   • Ensure alignment with industry best practices to elevate safety standards.
2. Site Inspections:
   • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
   • Implement corrective actions promptly to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
3. Safety Training:
   • Develop and deliver effective safety training programs for both employees and SSHO team.
   • Monitor training compliance and effectiveness, making improvements as needed.
4. Incident Investigation:
   • Lead investigations of safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
   • Determine root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Stay current with safety regulations and industry standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
   • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Safety Audits:
   • Conduct safety audits and assessments of project sites.
   • Identify areas for improvement and track progress toward enhanced safety performance.
