Senior Software Engineer & Support

Description

Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking a fully remote hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the team, the Developer will lead the architecture and design of software applications and interface with the customers and developers supporting a range of software development activities including requirements analysis, technical architecture design, detailed software design, implementation, test and integration/support for new and existing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or substitute eight years of additional equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of development experience
• 4+ years of recent hands-on Java & Spring Boot development experience
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience with Web applications, REST API development and deployment
• Experienced in Microservice design and development
• Strong experience in scripting using Linux and other CLI tools
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Serverless architecture
• Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS Strongly preferred)
• Experience in applying Agile/Scrum methodology
• Node.js
• Angular
• Python
• Database migration experience

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, architect and maintain software applications and software support and debugging
• Design, develop, test and integrate custom Java applications, developing innovative, scalable, and secure enterprise custom applications.
• Design, develop and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Use Linux environments and shell scripts for maintenance and debugging
• Interface with senior-level customer management and SMEs
• Resolve complex design, implementation and/or performance issues.
• Work with the Information Security Organization to ensure that developed solutions meet all security requirements.
• Support all development and delivery activities, from requirements definition and specification to deployment and delivery to production.
• Consult with project teams and end users to identify new requirements; identify areas for improvements.
• Assist in identification and evaluation of new/emerging technologies, COTS products, development, and testing tools.

Other Information

• The salary for this position is $105,000 - $160,000 annually
