As a Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis your goal is to lead the budgeting and forecasting function for the Turf & Consumer business unit by establishing and documenting procedures and timelines for completion of the annual operating budget, quarterly operating forecasts and capital spending plans. You’ll also partner with the Turf & Consumer business unit management team in developing and executing strategic plans. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid
You will do this by:
- Developing and driving an effective and efficient planning process to guide the business unit in the formulation, reviewing and communication of operating plans and projections; coordinating the budget/forecast and performing analysis to determine the validity and accuracy of the forecasts submitted by the business unit; coordinating the preparation of the annual budget review meetings
- Leading the preparation and update of the business unit’s long-range strategic financial plan
- Measuring business performance against strategies and goals; routinely analyzing and reporting performance utilizing trend analysis and experience data; proactively recommending and advising the business based on trend analysis
- Developing timely tools and metrics to enable management to make informed business decisions and take action
- Developing and using analytical tools to monitor and lead improvements in forecasting accuracy
- Analyzing actual to budget trends in financial statements and key company drivers and trends on a monthly basis, including the isolation of factors contributing to negative and positive trends, in order to revise forecast processes and improve forecast accuracy
- Proactively recommending mitigating actions to help achieve planned business results
- Analyzing the impact of pricing, volume, mix and foreign currency on sales and gross margins
- Performing full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA, performance management, department budget

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent experience and education
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience
- Experience with financial consolidation software such as: BPC, Hyperion, or OneStream
- Experience with ERP systems such as: SAP, Oracle, Workday
- Prior manufacturing industry experience
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in supporting and consulting within all levels of the organization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with all groups in the business unit on setting expectations and monitoring progress; must be able to communicate effectively with subordinates, peers and superiors within the organization
- Ability to exercise foresight and proactiveness when advising the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with a diverse group of people
- Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
