London Medical is a specialist outpatient and diagnostic centre within Bupa, offering expert consultant-led care across specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, ENT, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes, General Practice and Health Assessments. As a Nursing Associate, you'll support patients throughout their healthcare journey, ensuring they receive safe, effective and compassionate care in a welcoming and professional environment.
How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen
Provide high-quality, compassionate and person-centred care to patients attending the centre.
Support consultant-led outpatient clinics, diagnostic services and treatment pathways across multiple specialties.
Undertake clinical observations, venepuncture, cannulation, specimen collection and other delegated clinical duties within your scope of practice.
Assist with the preparation, treatment and recovery of patients undergoing outpatient procedures.
Contribute to ongoing patient assessment, identifying and escalating concerns appropriately.
Administer medications and injections within competency and organisational guidelines.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with NMC standards.
Support emergency situations and respond in line with local escalation and resuscitation procedures.
Promote patient wellbeing through education, health promotion and preventative care.
Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patients feel informed, supported and valued throughout their visit.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, governance activities and service development.
Support colleagues, students, Trainee Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants within a collaborative team environment.
Key Skills / Qualifications
Essential
Nursing Associate registration with the NMC.
Competency in venepuncture and cannulation.
Previous experience working as a Nursing Associate.
Experience of clinical risk assessment.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Knowledge of NMC Code, standards and professional practice requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Desirable
Experience working within outpatient services.
Experience within Gynaecology services.
Competency in ECG recording.
Immunisation training.
Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
Exposure to a variety of clinical specialties
