JOB DUTIES:

• Provide administrative support to all fleet unit Managers, and assist with recordkeeping and projects.
• Interact with equipment vendors and staff in our districts throughout Nebraska.
• Work within a team to create and maintain the detailed Heavy Equipment inventory, using budgeting and tracking spreadsheets and various programs which include E1/JD Edwards and Lucity.
• Read and interpret State Equipment Contracts ensuring the correct costs before processing the new equipment.
• Process documentation for new equipment including payment of invoices, licensing, titles, registration, insurance, warranties, specifications, recalls, preventative maintenance, and fuel cards.
• Support the Fuel System Manager by researching, problem-solving, and documenting fuel purchases for State vehicles.
• Process incoming equipment in preparation for the Surplus Auction.
• Run reports and problem-solve to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


 

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with problem-solving, formulating, and recommending alternative courses of action.
  • Experience with customer service and organizational expertise with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Excel, Word Processing, asset management systems, JDEdwards/E1, and the State Computer system preferred.


Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.

  • Administrative and office processes and procedures and associated computer applications such as word processing, file management, record keeping, and database management.
