Pay Range
$160,890 - $204,036 Annually
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. Job Description
We have an opening for a full-time Information Technology Solutions Division (ITSD) Group Leader/Cyber Security Program (CSP) Associate Program Leader. You will provide administrative leadership and advanced technical support to staff of 8, matrixed to the CSP Business Operations team. You will work closely with both ITSD and CSP management teams to effectively lead the group to achieve CSP objectives. This position is in ITSD in support of the LivIT Cyber Security Program.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.
You will
- Work closely with CSP management and represent the program area on CSP initiatives, audits, and project meetings.
- Supervise and provide technical direction/guidance for a team of 8 or more staff and team lead(s) assigned to CSP in support of program-specific missions.
- Provide leadership to the Business Operations team, support effective teamwork, identify and implement Cyber Security best practices.
- Develop and implement improvements in LLNL cyber security including solving complex cyber security problems with multi-disciplinary teams internal and external to LLNL.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruiting, hiring, ranking, career development; write performance evaluations, manage a training budget, and participate in strategic planning.
- Interact with professional colleagues, supervisors/leads in other functional areas, and customer/sponsor representatives on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines to complete objectives.
- Exercise independent discretion and judgment to define and develop the approach to team interactions to achieve the goals of the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and significant related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of cyber security technologies and processes, sufficient to evaluate the relative performance of ITSD individuals working in a CSP organization.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise of Cyber Security Program focused on business operations.
- Significant experience and knowledge of cyber security compliance and operational processes including policies, audits, and responding to data calls.
- Significant experience leading and managing a team of technical staff, including training, coaching, and career management.
- Demonstrated ability to independently apply advanced technical, business, or operational concepts to drive innovative solutions for programmatic projects.
- Advanced knowledge of LLNL and CSP management and structure, including supervision, budgeting, policies, and processes; comprehensive understanding of the Laboratory’s mission and business trends; and thorough understanding of Laboratory, corporate, Department of Energy (DOE), and/or customer/sponsor requirements.
- Advanced verbal and written communication and collaboration skills necessary to present, explain, and provide advice to management as well as develop formal correspondence, reports, proposals, and performance appraisals.
