Description

Are you a current Master of Arts in Museology student with a passion for storytelling and a knack for social media? The Museology program is seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our team. 
 

In this role, you'll help craft compelling content for our program's social media channels and website, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our blog.  


You will be responsible for interviewing students and museum professionals to tell their stories, helping to showcase our program's unique impact and partnerships. You will also participate in team meetings to help maintain an active online presence and contribute to the evaluation and planning of future marketing initiatives. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Position Details 

  • Who should apply: Current Master of Arts in Museology students 

  • Hours: 5 hours per week 

  • Compensation: $21.33 – 22.83 per hour 

  • Effective dates: Fall quarter—June 12, 2026 

 

Duties may include: 
 

  • Create and schedule engaging content for the program's blog and social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). 

  • Conduct interviews with students and local museum professionals to develop compelling stories. 

  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure a consistent and active social media presence. 

  • Attend regular team meetings to align communication strategies. 

  • Contribute to the evaluation of current marketing efforts and the planning of future campaigns.
