URM Stores, Inc. is looking for a talented Center Store Retail Specialist to join our ever-growing team. Our Center Store Retail Specialist is responsible for providing our member retail locations with assistance of proper product placement and new item distribution. This position requires the individual to work independently, able to perform re-set work and or set sections to schematics as requested from our member-owners.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain member/owner loyalty and confidence in URM.
• Develop effective working relationships with member/owners and keep each informed and educated on URM programs and platforms.
• Assist Member/Owners and store managers in sales promotion programs and store layouts on Grocery, Frozen, General Merchandise products.
• Develop product-merchandising plans as requested. Assist in actual product placement and stocking as directed.
• Utilize reports, order forms and guides for item distribution checks and to increase new product distribution.
• Maximize sales on Super Buy and other specific sales events and items.
• Improve product placement and space allocation of all Grocery, General Merchandise and Natural/Specialty Food products.
• Assist with new store Gondola and shelving installation.
• Frequent Travel is involved – Approx. 12-15 nights per month. (All Travel Expenses Covered)
• This position will be responsible for a Territory of our Independent Retail Grocers and have NO direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-year General Merchandise and/or Retail Grocery Management Experience.
• Retail Grocery experience or related fields required.
• Excellent Customer Service and interpersonal abilities.
• Hands on experience implementing planograms is a plus.
• Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of personalities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, good judgment, time-management skills.
• Retail Grocery experience or related fields required.
