About the role

Under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, assists in providing dental healthcare services to patients in a clinical setting, including a fixed dental clinic, mobile dental clinic or utilization of portable dental equipment in school based preventative clinics and outreach programs.  The Senior Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) contributes to the continued success by passionately executing the community health investment model, promoting the culture, mission and values.  The Senior Registered Dental Assistant serves as a lead to help the clinic flow, the liaison between the providers and the assistants, chair-side dental assistant and performs dental procedures within the scope of practice. Responsible for taking digital x-rays, operatory set-up and clean-up, ordering and stocking of supplies. Provides patient/family oral health education and instruction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Training in infection control, X-ray safety, OSHA standards. Or equivalent education/experience.
  • Coursework/Training: Registered Dental Assistant License
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • California Registered Dental Assistant upon hire or
  • California Registered Dental Assistant - Extended Functions upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license. See policy for additional information.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in dental office setting.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
