Job Overview

The Global Automotive Integrated Marketing & Communications team is responsible for supporting key market verticals, customer segments, products and business value drivers by driving initiatives that create and sustain demand and brand awareness. As a Marketing and Communications Intern on the Automotive team, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with global and regional teams on the following:  

• The planning and execution of internal and external communications strategies and initiatives to engage with both employees and external subject matter experts and customer stakeholders 

• The planning and execution of marketing events and various types of marketing campaigns  to drive comprehensive go-to-market activities around key megatrends in the Automotive industry as well as application areas inside of the most advanced consumer ICE end alternative fuel vehicles  

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across TE business units and functional teams, including product management and sales, to plan and coordinate events    
• Collaborating with Communications Champions across the Auto Americas region to identify and elevate stories across the business and communicate key information and updates to all employees 
• Identifying external communications/media opportunities that align with the Global Auto marketing strategy and application/product focus areas  
• Support internal communications efforts including content development and distribution  
• Develop ideas and strategies to communicate and share information with our internal employees, across multiple locations and functions, to drive increased engagement   
• Support marketing team members to develop content in support of their integrated marketing plans   

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

• have Received a High School Diploma or GED 
• are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a ​BA/BS or MA/MS​ Degree in ​Communications​ or ​Marketing​ from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.) 
• can demonstrate critical thinking abilities  
• have prior experience in communications/public relations, social media and/or marketing preferred (internship, coursework, etc.) 
• can present and communicate ideas and work clearly to cross functional teams  
• are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation  
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $17.64 – 36.75 per hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
