Job Title: Java Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with a strong focus on building high-performance backend systems, API development, and Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will also have deep expertise in MongoDB and Kafka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement Kafka for event-driven architecture.
  • Drive backend acceleration strategies, including asynchronous processing and query optimization.
  • Work extensively with MongoDB.
  • Participate actively in Agile development methodologies.
  • Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 years of backend development experience with Java.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
  • Proven expertise in API design, development, and documentation.
  • Experience with Kafka and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • AWS knowledge is a plus.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$61087 - $104364 Yearly

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
