The Director, Advisor Growth & Engagement is a strategic growth leader focused on empowering Mariner Independent advisory teams to reach their highest potential and enhance revenues across the organization. This newly created role drives results by connecting advisors to Mariner’s full spectrum of resources, mapping and executing strategic growth plans, and ensuring alignment across key support teams.
This is a high-impact, forward-looking role—ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the advisory business model, a passion for growth, and the ability to turn opportunities into measurable results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a Growth Connector
- Identify and drive growth opportunities across wealth groups by understanding the respective advisory team’s business model, uncovering strategies that enhance client outcomes, and connecting them with the right Mariner or industry resources to support team growth and long-term success.
- Bridge advisory teams with the Advisor Coaching and Advisor Experience teams to ensure cohesive, high-value support
- Enable Advisor Success
- Help advisors navigate Mariner’s platform, introducing them to subject matter experts and solutions that accelerate growth and efficiency
- Map & Execute Strategic Plans
- Partner with advisors to create, implement, and track growth roadmaps—holding them accountable to milestones and outcomes
- Identify Opportunities & Risks
- Serve as the “eyes and ears” within each advisory team—spotting competitive threats, emerging trends, and new opportunities for expansion
- Drive Practice Optimization
Recommend and support adoption of strategies that improve efficiency, enhance client engagement, and increase revenue potential
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years in a growth-focused role within independent wealth management experience
Skills:
- Proven success in driving strategic business growth initiatives
- Strong knowledge of advisor business models, client segments, and levers for expansion
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across a large organization
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on measurable impact
