Description:

Field Director – Facilities Operation – New Building Opening – White Plains

NewYork-Presbyterian is committed to providing the highest quality care to residents of Westchester County and surrounding communities. Opening in September 2025, a new, multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility, will offer a wide range of adult and pediatric specialty care services, all under one roof, delivered by exceptional care teams led by trusted Columbia doctors. Located at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, the center will set a new standard for superior patient experience, convenience, and quality care. 

Reporting to the NYP Vice President of Facilities Development for Westchester, the Field Director directs and oversees preventive, reactive and emergency maintenance teams, and personnel in the field.  Directs engineering staff and related resources to maintain a safe and reliable ambulatory care facilities physical plant, grounds, and equipment. Plans, directs, and supervises the functions and activities of facilities managers and staff. Works with the Vice President – Facilities Operations to manage and resolve personnel, staffing, and resource issues.

This is full time position at NYP located at 1111 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY

Preferred Criteria

  • NYC Steam/Refrigeration license 

Required Criteria

  • At least seven years of supervisory facilities engineering experience, preferably at a large hospital
  • Proven management skills in diverse labor force
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of MEP systems, CMMS systems
  • Management/Supervisory skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
  • Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code, JCAHO, New York State, and other regulatory agency safety requirements.
