Classification Minimum Requirements are the baseline requirements for Staff Titles and Academic Titles found at the University of Florida.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Description:

As part of our 24/7 service, this full-time (40-hour/week) role is essential to maintaining the “Gator Standard” of care across our ICU, ER, and Progressive Care wards. You will:
• Support infection control through cleaning of all areas and equipment, sterilization, and stocking
• Provide hands-on patient care (feeding, walking, grooming)
• Assist DVMs and technicians with triage, restraint, intake, and documentation

You’ll also gain unique experience with wildlife cases (overnights) and rotate through our Blood Bank service, learning the operations behind life-saving transfusions and working with our donor dogs.

Day and night shifts available; weekends/holidays required

Expected Salary:

$15 /hour

This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.  When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available.  This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
