About the role
Overview
TITAN Group is looking for a professional with a Mechanical Engineering background to lead impactful industrial projects as a Project Manager.
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of technical projects within the Projects Management Department. You will manage resources, coordinate stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions, contributing to plant modernization and operational efficiency improvements.
The role is based in Athens, Greece.
Responsibilities
Project Preparation
- Collaborate with departments to evaluate investment proposals for plant upgrades and efficiency improvements.
- Develop detailed budgets for approved projects and oversee their implementation.
- Plan and manage technical project designs with the Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with H&S requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive tender documentation, evaluate supplier/contractor proposals, and facilitate procurement in collaboration with the Procurement team.
- Stay informed on industry advancements and maintain a network of potential suppliers and contractors to enhance project outcomes.
Project Execution
- Supervise the execution of technical and mechanical projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate on-site activities with contractors, suppliers, and plant teams, addressing issues proactively to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Certify completed work per phase, manage contractor payments, and provide technical support across the Group’s Business Units.
Team Management
- Build and manage effective collaboration among project teams, fostering a positive working environment.
- Allocate team resources optimally to ensure project management efficiency.
- Drive people management and development within the project team.
Health & Safety
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of project design and execution, ensuring alignment with the company’s zero-accident commitment.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is desirable).
- 8–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years managing industrial projects.
- Familiar with BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, including the application of BIM processes and tools to enhance project planning, design, and collaboration.
- Advanced PC skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) at a professional level.
- Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
- Knowledge of Cement Production Technology is a plus.
- Availability for frequent travel in Greece and abroad.
- Fulfilled military obligations (if applicable).
