Boom Truck/Tractor Trailer Driver
Job Description Summary
Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers for our Saltwell/Bridgeport, WV area.
Requirements
- Responsible for own personal safety at all times
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition
- Maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job
- Maintain daily vehicle electronic inspections and reports (time sheets, mileage logs, DOT hours of service, etc.), assuring that each vehicle is safe and well maintained
- Assure product quality to the best of the Driver's ability before leaving plants and in route to jobsites
- Operate phone/tablet system to communicate to dispatchers of delivery status
- Notify the Dispatcher of job site information and conditions
- Maintain a clean truck to ensure safety and operational excellence
- Load, unload, and secure as needed
- Check all inventory in truck against purchase orders
- Assist forklift operators when loading as needed
- Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material. Position may require employee to unload truck by hand and lifting up to 50lbs, 100 lbs use team lift
- Maintain radio contact with dispatch for scheduling changes
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation
- Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to respond to stressful situations and customers in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to work various times, hours, and at various locations
