Job Description Summary

 

Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers for our Saltwell/Bridgeport, WV area.

 

Requirements

 

• Responsible for own personal safety at all times
• Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition
• Maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job
• Maintain daily vehicle electronic inspections and reports (time sheets, mileage logs, DOT hours of service, etc.), assuring that each vehicle is safe and well maintained
• Assure product quality to the best of the Driver's ability before leaving plants and in route to jobsites
• Operate phone/tablet system to communicate to dispatchers of delivery status
• Notify the Dispatcher of job site information and conditions
• Maintain a clean truck to ensure safety and operational excellence
• Load, unload, and secure as needed
• Check all inventory in truck against purchase orders
• Assist forklift operators when loading as needed
• Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material. Position may require employee to unload truck by hand and lifting up to 50lbs, 100 lbs use team lift
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch for scheduling changes
• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation
• Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to respond to stressful situations and customers in a professional, courteous manner
• Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to work various times, hours, and at various locations
