Trans Ova Genetics is seeking an Advanced Technologies Lab Technician to join our team in Hull, IA. This is a unique opportunity to perform embryo production and micromanipulation work. This role offers hands-on exposure to cloning, cell culture, and precision laboratory techniques within a collaborative team. Responsibilities:
- Micromanipulation (oocyte enucleation, cell injection, oocyte-cell fusion).
- Cell culture.
- Oocyte collection and maturation.
- Embryo culture.
- Media preparation.
- Data Entry.
- Supply ordering.
- Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova’s industry position.
- Follows Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Education Requirements:
- B.S. in Biology or related area preferred.
- Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to work on microscopes for prolonged period.
- Ability to work under a laminar flow hood.
- Other skills/experience:
- Produces high quality work.
- Prior hands on experience in embryology (embryo culture, oocyte maturation) and micromanipulation preferred but not required.
- Good hand to eye coordination.
- Strong attention to details.
- Good intention to follow protocols.
