Sr EHS Compliance Specialist - Remote

*Remote with approx. 20% travel required (6 to 8 days per month)

We are hiring a Sr. EHS Specialist to lead safety initiatives for our retail team, focusing on injury prevention, employee well-being, and OSHA compliance. This role is dedicated to creating a safe, compliant, and injury-free retail environment. Travel is limited to 20% or less.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve safety programs to reduce workplace risks and injuries while enhancing employee engagement and workplace safety culture.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Coach leaders and employees on safety principles and compliance.
• Deliver and enhance safety training, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.
• Conduct site visits to assess practices, ensure OSHA compliance, and mitigate hazards.
• Partner with operations and leadership to manage investigations and safety performance.
• Promote the One Safe culture through communication, recognition, and participation.
• Maintain accurate safety records and report metrics, trends, and recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other State or Federal programs.
• Work experience or education in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene and/or Industrial Safety and Health.

 

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $122,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred

Years of Related Experience: Typically has 5 - 7 years related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer experience, preferable inMicrosoft Word, Excel and/or Access. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Working knowledge ofEPA, OSHA, and other State or Federal program requirements. Work experience or education in Occupational Safety andHealth, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Industrial Safety and Health. Must be willing to obtain training in safety, PSMand environmental regulations and related programs. Specialized knowledge of hazardous materials. Experience withplant operations and processes preferred. Able to work in both hot and cold environments.
