Summary:
CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Manger of Non-Clinical (Financial) Application Services Management to lead the enterprise application portfolio initiatives including application rationalization and lifecycle management. Main areas of focus will be resource management and the stabilization, standardization and simplification of the application portfolio by analyzing value, evaluating risk, and prioritizing projects in alignment with organizational strategies. Along with exceptional leadership skills, the ASM Manager will present a high degree of expertise in product ownership and business relationship management. They will need to be able to understand and define complicated environments and provide sound assessments for service line improvements to meet operational standards and business requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing ASM standards that align with strategic initiatives related to the financial and medical records application portfolio.
- Assign and oversee the development and publication of non-clinical application portfolio assessments and service line reviews including executive status reports.
- Collaborate with business partners, technology leaders and department directors to identify and promote the adoption of enterprise standards.
- Lead stakeholders through processes of vendor evaluations, business case development and market assessments for governance review.
- Assist in the definition of the structure, attributes, taxonomies and nomenclature of service line elements and categories within the application portfolio repository toolset (ServiceNow) to ensure completeness and accuracy of the list of business applications.
- Promote and sustain the portfolio management standards, policies and processes. Maintain an awareness of industry standard APM best practices and apply relevant methodologies for process improvement.
- Facilitate data driven decisions pertaining to IT project investments.
- Contribute to the direction of the application lifecycle management (LCM) roadmap to reduce costs, mitigate risks, drive growth and improve revenue to achieve enterprise business goals.
- Coach and mentor staff and provide constructive feedback to build talent and achieve the skills necessary for career growth. Set the example in work ethic and critical thinking skills.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships of trust both within and outside CHS and embrace the authoritative role in respect to maintaining enterprise standards and align others to the strategic direction
- Ongoing evaluation and ownership of application criticality assessments.
- Supervisory responsibility for Application Analysts, Product Specialists, Contractors and Consultants.
- Demonstrate exceptional integrity, trustworthiness, emotional intelligence and confidence to represent the company with the highest level of professionalism.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Associates Degree or higher in Clinical Informatics, Health Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Clinical Informatics, Health Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and initiative to promote team identity/morale
- Knowledge of Application Portfolio Management (APM) terminology, methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Knowledge of medical records and financial “back office” business applications used in the healthcare industry including revenue cycle, registration, medical coding,
- billing, AR, AP, Budgeting, claims, denials, appeals, GL, marketing and medical records
- Experienced in presenting information, training and operational status reports to large groups including executive-level audience
- Practical experience in testing, gathering metrics/statistics, developing results analysis and reporting on findings
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to handle a fast paced environment and react positively under pressure and stressful situations
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and make adjustm
