Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

To conduct research in quantum computing, with the development of new benchmarking methods.  To study quantum teleportation on existing quantum computers.  To work on tests of the extent of entanglement between qubits.  To use quantum state tomography to determine the density matrix of a quantum state prepared by adiabatic quantum computing.

Desired Qualifications

At least one year of university-level mathematics beyond Advanced Placement calculus, to include a course in matrices and linear algebra; at least one university-level course in quantum mechanics (please provide the name and author of the textbook you used); and experience in Python programming.
