Inside Sales Channel Account Manager Intern - Part Time

The Role:

Proofpoint, Inc, an innovative security-as-service vendor that delivers data protection solutions that help organizations protect their data from attacks and enable them to effectively meet the complex and evolving regulatory compliance and data governance mandates that have been spawned from highly publicized data breaches is looking for a highly motivated Inside Channel Account Manager (iCAM) Intern to support the North America channel business. The iCAM Intern will act as an extension of the sales organization by leveraging the partner community and be based in our Draper, UT office.  A successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen. 

Your day-to-day

• Will serve as a dedicated iCAM Intern supporting the channel business.
• Participate in proactive on-going training presentations with the PFPT sales team to ensure they understand how to engage with, how to build, and how to grow the PFPT business with the help of our channel partners.
• Assist in qualifying partner lists including prospect contact and follow-up, assigning follow-up activities to Proofpoint sales reps.
• Work with partners to identify appropriate prospects for Proofpoint products and assign those targets to appropriate Proofpoint sales reps.
• Assist the channel team by helping them meet and exceed the channel bookings revenue and quotas set for the organization.
• Support matchup of partners to Proofpoint sales.

• Has strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value and the value of the channel internally at Proofpoint.
• Has the ability to work in a fast-moving environment, to prioritize effectively to think big picture, and to use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.

Candidate Profile:

You have the ability and interest to work part time (a maximum of 30 hours/week) in our Draper, UT office or remotely. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA. This internship is scheduled to start immediately and run through August 2024.
