As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will enhance the Crane Support Group (CSG), in all aspects of crane operations. Duties will include authoring lift plans for critical lifting operations including multiple cranes. In addition, this position will include, developing new overhead crane operators, lift directing, and executing standard lift activities daily. Candidate will have the ability to inspect and properly utilize rigging hardware, lifting slings, as well as maintain crane operator training records. You will be asked to support Production Services and Integration Managers as needed, per verbal directions, or written procedures to ensure all lifting operations are conducted safely. You will Interface with stake holders towards efficient scheduling and prioritization, based on organizational goals.  You may occasionally Coordinate and communicate mobile crane requests and invoicing with the Crane Vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work any shift as needed to support activities
  • Experience working within an aerospace, industrial, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience handling launch vehicles across a range of vehicle subsystems including avionics, fluids, and mechanical.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Able to coordinate activities between multiple groups, technical, engineering, and production
  • Able to work safely on the floor in an aerospace production environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  •  Ability to lift 50 LBS

Desired:

  • Broad/deep Crane Operations planning skill set
  • Certified Lift director
  • Certified Critical Lift Operator
  • Advanced rigger
  • Aerospace background with experience handling high value aerospace components.
