The Events Manager, Eliot Society Programs - Advancement reports to the Director of Eliot Society Programs. The role of the Event Manager is to plan and implement key events designed to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen ties between the University and its alumni, parents, and friends. Oversee or assist with all aspects of event planning.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage, and provide assistance as needed for Eliot Society Experience special events within University Advancement, providing strategic oversight and support as needed. These events include but are not limited to St. Louis-based and regional Eliot Society events, as well as targeted cultivation events.
- This role will work closely with the Special Events and University Ceremonies team and Eliot Society Experience team to ensure seamless event execution and meaningful donor experiences.
- Oversee event planning related activities including but not limited to contract negotiations and management, reserving event space, work with communications coordinator to create invitations, overseeing data for invitation lists, coordinating and supervising mail house projects, creating timelines, establishing logistical plans, assist with securing speakers, creating seating plans, assisting with talking points, briefing materials for university leadership, and onsite logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
