AVP, Claim - Major & Specialty

The AVP, Claim - Major & Specialty is responsible for investigating and settling high exposure claims arising out of Chubb’s Major Accounts and Specialty book of business.  This includes Energy, Natural Resources, Commercial property claims involving climate technology and Builder’s Risk. 

This position reports to the VP Claim Leader of the discipline. 

• Must have high degree of specialized and technical competence in the handling of high exposure claims with emphasis on hands-on file management.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations.
• Significant experience in handling and resolving claims with $10M+ financial exposure. 
• Experience in claims litigation including deposition experience both fact witness or 30B6 company representative. 
• Prior people management experience is a plus. 
• Significant experience in presentations skills to underwriters or brokers. 
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ten to fifteen years of relevant property claims experience described above.
