Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Heavy Industry Equipment

An International Manufacturer with over $900MM in global sales, is a leader in its niche industry of carbon and graphite products.  Their growing operation near Nashville, TN, is presently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, who will lead ongoing capital equipment (boilers, cranes, furnaces) projects to upgrade the entire plant.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.  Some of the company's work involves U.S. Defense Department projects.  ITAR Rules will apply.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.  
• 15 – 20 years of engineering experience is required.
• Demonstrated commercial projects experience.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications for equipment and utilities (P&ID and equipment drawings).
• Experience with plant maintenance systems such as boilers, power distribution, and/or heavy lifting cranes in a heavy industrial environment is required.  Will not consider package conveyor systems or automotive assembly experience.
• Efficient and effective troubleshooting skills including root cause analysis training.
• Demonstrated style of participative management in problem solving, project implementation, and continuous improvement objectives.
• Experience as plant/facility maintenance support, work order and maintenance systems is beneficial.
